Constructed photos: The Last Suitcase of Walter Benjamin. Walter Benjamin had to flee from occupied France and made his way south to eventually escape to Spain across the Pyrenees. He took a suitcase with him. There is speculation as to what he carried in this suitcase. Both these photos incorporate reversed images : positive/negative. Benjamin carried photos of his family, postcards and a bottle of poison
