Autumn Bookworks

The theme in September for the book club was Autumn, so I went on walks in Waterlow Park in north London and Hampstead Heath and took lots of photos and collected leaves and berries. This autumn has been very special: lots of vivid colours due mainly to a warm summer.

Autumn: Accordion format. The cover is stained Japanese Shina wood with added leaf prints. 16 x 11 cm printed on my Epson printer on heavy cartridge paper. The quotes are by myself and various poets, including Mousad Bhargouti, a Palistinian poet who was banished from his birth place of Ramalla for 30 years. “Many fruits fall from the tree long before they are ripe”. Which has a double meaning if you come from that part of the world.

Autumn 2: Case bound accordion bookwork. The cover is a gelli print of autumn leaves with a bead and ribbon tie, the inside pages are painted and include poems by various people (Ted Hughes, Peter Levi, W B Yeats)
